Stuart Schmidt Named Executive Director of NAPAHE
Dear Members and Friends,
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Stuart Schmidt will be joining the National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education as our new Executive Director effective Monday, Aug. 28. He will succeed Brittny Daubenheyer, who announced earlier this year she was stepping down after more than five years in the role.
A seasoned educational administrator, Schmidt joins NAPAHE after nearly five years at Lakeland University, where he most recently served as Assistant to the President and Liasion to the Board.
“Being named the next Executive Director of NAPAHE truly marks a significant milestone in my professional journey," Schmidt said. "This designation not only demonstrates the organization’s confidence in my abilities, but it also underlines the responsibility I have to uphold and further NAPAHE's mission. I am deeply grateful for this honor and eager to embark on this new chapter, working alongside dedicated individuals to elevate our shared goals and aspirations.”
A Wisconsin native, Schmidt holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree from Northland College and a Master of Science degree from Lakeland University.
I would also like to thank the Search Committee, chaired by former NAPAHE board chair, Diane Fornieri, for their unwavering commitment to finding the ideal match for NAPAHE. The impact of their thoughtful deliberations and diligence promises to shape the future success and direction of our organization.
